Stagiue Fort House, on the Kerry Way walking route, is perfectly situated for walks of all kinds. You can stay here for a few days and investigate the local geology, archaeology and natural beauty while walking – Travel Less See More – or stop off here on your way around the Kerry Way or the Ring of Kerry, Wild Atlantic Way.

We can help you select your routes, tailored to your interests and stamina. We can drop you off …and pick you up when you’re tired and hungry! Packed lunches and/or dinner in the evening if arranged with us in advance.

The Kerry Way is a loop walk, 200 km long. It passes through the Kerry mountains, on their lower reaches. As well as the Kerry Way, there are many satisfying walks around Staigue Fort House, especially by the sea. Guided walks available – forage for seaweed, see newly discovered rock art, learn about marine biology. We can put you in contact with guides who are experts in their fields.
