bar café & exhibitionhistory of Staigue Fort House

Staigue Fort House bedrooms are bright and spacious with high ceilings and large Georgian windows.

There are four bathrooms, 2 on the first floor and 2 on the second floor. Bathrooms are shared. There is a handbasin in each room on the first floor.

Most of the beds are doubles. You can have twin beds too or a room with a double and a single.

Away from the road, the rooms are quiet and have lovely views over the surrounding countryside. A specially constructed false floor between the ground and first floors is sound-proofed to ensure you get a peaceful night’s sleep!

There are reading lights over the beds. The main lights can be switched off from the bed.

The reading room with a large range of books opens out on to the terrace on the first floor.

Complimentary WiFi for guest use.

We do not have TVs in the bedrooms. The big screen in the bar for the likes of Sky Sports gets switched on for the major matches.

Tea and coffee making facilites.

Drying facilites if required.

A nice big hearty breakfast is served from 8 to 9.30 in the dining room. Freshly brewed coffee, fresh fruit, generous fry up…the usual!

Packed lunches are available. Home cooked evening meals too if sufficient notice is given. Irish stew, bacon and cabbage, freshly cooked corned beef. Gorgeous.

We can arrange drop off/pick up for walkers.

Rates: Euro 35 per night per person. Credit cards accepted.
